Privacy policy

Server logs. The web server that hosts clickalternatives.net writes standard access logs containing IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP referer, and user-agent string. These logs are kept for 30 days and used only for security monitoring (blocking automated scrapers and brute-force scanners) and for diagnosing rare 5xx errors. They are not shared with third parties and are deleted by automatic rotation after the 30-day window.

Analytics and trackers. No third-party advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking scripts run on this site. If a privacy-respecting analytics tool is in use (such as Plausible or self-hosted server logs), it is named explicitly in the page footer and configured to collect only aggregate page-view counts with no individual user profile, no cookies, and no fingerprinting. Site-wide cookies are limited to a per-session preview cookie used while the site is under editorial review; it carries no personal data.

Affiliate link clicks. When a reader clicks an affiliate link on this site, the click is routed through an internal redirector (/go/<key>) that records only the destination key and the timestamp before sending the reader to the vendor with a referral tag. No personal data, IP address, or browsing history is transmitted from this site to the vendor; the redirector exists solely so the partner URL never appears in HTML or sitemap. The vendor's own cookie banner then governs what they collect on their side, and that policy is theirs, not ours.

Data deletion requests. To request deletion of any personal data this site may hold about you (typically just IP-bearing log lines), email [email protected] from the address you wish to verify against. Requests are honoured within 30 days as required under UK and EU data-protection law.
